A separate
qualified marine
engineer should survey all engines and out drives on pre-purchase surveys.
Up mast
rigging survey: A
separate dedicated inspection of the rig, sails and sail handling gear is
recommended on all pre-purchase surveys. We have a rigging surveyor on
hand should the survey terms call for inspection aloft. Charges are based on
$200.00/hour, or part thereof. Minimum 2 hours.
Otherwise,
spars and rigging are normally surveyed from deck level only.
Diving
Surveys: If accepted
by your insurance company, $400.00/hour, or part thereof.
It is
strongly recommended
that the vessel be dry-docked for a buyer’s condition survey. Docking
arrangements and charges are the responsibility of the party ordering the
survey.
Ultrasonic
audio gauge for
thickness testing, moisture meter, crack testing and tank moisture content
measuring equipment is carried. Charges for these services are quoted
separately, and based on 200.00/hour, including production of the report.
Cancellation
fee: In order
to cover lost business, a $250.00 fee is charged for surveys cancelled after
the appointment to survey has been made. If cancelled during survey,
minimum survey charges based on fees laid out above are charged. Appointments
may be adjusted by mutual agreement prior to survey day.
Weather
bound: If weather conditions
prevent conclusion of surveys already underway, we are prepared to adjust
costs, by mutual agreement, to cover extra time and travel expenses, etc.
The survey is completed when, in the opinion of
the surveyor, it is finished, and not before.
Survey
Reports will normally
be issued within 72 hours of the survey’s completion. Audio gauge and
underwater Survey Reports may take longer, depending on size and conditions.
A full
appraisal Survey
& Report will be given at the rates quoted above. There is a 25%
surcharge for preparation of a Presentation File.

travel expenses:

Foreign
travel: A 10% surcharge against these expenses is charged to cover foreign
currency/credit card conversions.

above. Therefore, agreeable arrangements to purchase Survey Reports
should be made with the owner of the report..
The

times, conduct a survey to comply with the good practices of marine surveying,
offering an unprejudiced report of findings as revealed by the survey.
